WeDay!

Would! What an exciting, awesome, inspiring event today! The grade 5s were lucky enough to attend this years WeDay and be inspired by so many awesome people! The day was hectic and loud, but totally worth it. I hope that all the students not only enjoyed themselves, but also are inspired to use their gifts to change the world. Remember......Gift + issue = change!

Play Doh Scenes from Paranorman

We have been reading aloud the book, "Paranorman," by Elizabeth Cody Kimmel. While reading we do various comprehension strategies. One strategy that the kids have loved is recreating a scene using Play Doh. Some of the groups also decided to work together to recreate a large scene. Here are some of their wonderful creations.

Yes, parents and friends, that is what we are doing. Using the Extension of Learning Devices (iPads) in class the students are working hard to explain division using the app "Explain everything." Students are learning why we use technology to enhance their understanding of division.
