Teaching Authentic Writing

Last year our school began to participate in the professional development, "Regie Routman in Residence." We were lucky enough to be one of the schools in Manitoba chosen to have Regie actually do a residency at the school. This year, I have taken many of the ideas we learned from Regie and spent a lot of time teaching authentic and valuable writing. I have been very impressed at how well my class has improved in their writing skills. I decided that I should use this blog to share what we do in class and also some of the students work.
